Englewood Food Pantry - 2014

My sister’s church in the north side of Chicago was running a food pantry on the south side in an area called Englewood.

Very high crime and very high poverty area.

The man running the project was an Evangelical Christian. He trie to convert me by pounding dogma into my ears during a 3 hour drive from the north side to the south side.

He didn’t know any better. I wrote a software program for the pantry to help them manage the place and volunteered to manage it because it was really out of control.

I volunteered to manage the place, but was passed over mostly because I was not a member of their religious group.

They hired a believer instead that stole everything of value after being appoiunted.

So Ironic! And pitiful.
